The Global Women’s Network for the Energy Transition (GWNET), which partnered up with GIZ, kickstarted their Energizing Women to Advance the Energy Transition Mentoring program. Seeking to advance the role of women in the sustainable energy sector, GWNET has selected mentees from more than 260 applications and matched them with senior level mentors. Twelve highly qualified mentees from Jordan, one of a dozen countries taking part in this initiative, shared their goals and ambitions. Besides introducing mentees and setting a framework for future collaboration, this event served as a reminder for the important role female energy experts will play in the energy transition. On behalf of the German Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi), the Jordanian-German Energy Partnership stressed their support to GWNET in providing a platform for valuable exchange between the participants who are presented here.
