The German energy Academy was established in October 2021 in Jordan through the support of the Jordanian- German Energy Partnership – commissioned by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action and implemented in partnership with the Jordanian Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.  

The German Energy Academy (GEA) is a regional up-skilling center for renewable energy, energy efficiency, smart grids and digitization for a wide range of professionals. The Academy develops and provides training Programs to qualify technicians and engineers. These Training programs aim to equip participants with theoretical knowledge and practical skills that are needed in the labor market to implement the global energy transition. to implement the global energy transition.  

The ceremony marked the successful completion of medium-term trainings in Energy Efficiency and Solar PV Installation and the passing of the German-Arab Chamber of Industry and Commerce (AHK) exam and earn the AHK certificate, as well as the recognition of “trainer of trainees” according to the DIHK quality standards. 

The GEA focuses on upskilling mainly technicians to integrate them well in the energy market in Germany and Jordan.
